Beautiful, rare, antique Portuguese Arraiolos rug carpet 18th century

This 18th century needlework or embroidered rug was made in the region of Arraiolos, Portugal. The vivid yellows, lavender-blues, and forrest greens are harmoniously blended while the superb design clearly shows the legacy of Moorish influence in the region. 223 cm by 120 cm. The rug is in very good and clean condition, with some small areas of restoration sympathetically carried out. We deal in high quality antique furniture and decorative arts from the long 18th century. We are drawn especially by pieces with strong design, pleasing proportions, and good patina and colour, which we think complement both traditional and modern interiors. We also offer some artworks as well as items of 20th century design. From a 1938 Dealer Brochure; Kadette 150 Cameo In Walnut Bakelite Case measures 8 1/2′ × 6 1/’4 × 3 1/4′ inches, weight 6 pounds. AC/DC Superheterodyne, 5 tubes, covers 535 to 1625 kilo cycles, 115 volts. Rare Radio & Rare Condition Serial # 1791 The cord although original has been cut, thus radio is untested. Cosmetically radio is pristine with no chips, cracks, nicks, dings, deep scratches, or tube burns. Has bakelite knobs, and original speaker grill cloth. Interesting old quality violin in excellent condition. Please listen to the video/soundfile & scroll down to see all detailed XXL photos below as part of the description! Nicely crafted instrument, with masterly carved scroll and accurately double inlaid purfling, turning into arabesque patterns on the back. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, and there’re only some minor marks in it´s old varnish. The table is medium to fine grained spruce and the back is – as well as the neck and ribs – beautiful flamed maple. In our workshop the violin received a new setup with new ebony pegs, newly fitted elder ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin! BEAUTIFUL RARE SOLID SILVER CHINESE GAMING TOKEN TOPPED SNUFF BOX c1950

A beautiful solid silver trinket of snuff box. It is hallmarked with two small touch marks and tests as high grade silver. I would date it to the mid 20th century although its lid has been mounted with a very finely engraved 19th century Chinese gaming token. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs and the token is free from chips cracks and repairs. The lid closes tightly to form a good seal. It measures 2.75 inches (6.9cms) wide by over 1 inch (3cms) by 0.75 inches tall and weighs 50 grams. A beautifully made interesting example.
