This is a limited edition, numbered 385 of 1250, for sale only to subscribers of the time. Finely bound in black cloth with ornate gilt lettering and spiraling floral motif. There is some light wear on the spines but otherwise these books are in very good condition. The bindings are tight and square, with clean interior pages. They come with their original dust jackets, which have some missing edges on the top of the spine, and have been encased in Mylar to further protect them. Each book has a frontispiece illustration and original tissue guard. There is beautiful bordering throughout the book, and frequent passages in French.
