Antique novelty Chinese man c1900 Silver Dip Pen Beautiful. New to the market. Antique rare late Victorian c1900 solid Silver dip pen Cylindrical shaped body. It is in good antique condition, as pictured it has original nibs with it and is ready to go. As is often the case with these small items of silver of this design & from this period it is not hallmarked but It has been tested to confirm it has a high Silver content. Lovely collectors item, a must for any serious collection. Length huge 17.5 cm. X 10mm (0.5) wide. Condition: This delightful large dip pen is in good condition with , no restoration. But a few small knocks along the barrel and nib holder consistent with being over 120 years old. These knocks can be polished out but I prefer to leave items showing use and character. Beautiful very rare antique. I have left the silver unpolished as I feel it adds to its original character, if you wish I could polish it up to a gleaming Finnish, I will leave it for you to decide. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item. It has blue and white underglaze transfer print of a mossy – lichen like mottled look.. Around the main body, inside to the top rim and on the handles. The the front it has a rectangular frame of black with 4 LINE VERSE about being ODD. To spend together, the odd days of my life, To bring my odd children, my odd time to spend, To drink an odd pint, and invite an odd friend. This of course is related to the Fraternal Society of ODD FELLOWS… Rather like the Free Masons but different. Inside the mug there are 3 applied on before the mug was fired Spotted NEWTS – LIZARDS… These are to SUPRIZE the drinker. In very good overall condition… It has a small manufacturing firing crack near a handle on the rim.. Its only about an inch long.. Done from when it was made… The base rim has worn as its been picked up and put down a few times I would imagine. It is 5 inch tall x 4 and 3/4 inch top rim dia x 8 and a quarter inch wide between the handles. It has very small flea bite knocks off the handle top swirls and rim in places. This listing is for a wondrous mid-century Mod vintage designed by the venerable ad productive Greg Copeland #913 style Op Art. I have only seen a total of 4 of these. So it’s incredibly rare. I have had this for 10 years and have enjoyed it fondly but the Covid has done a number on my wallet. This piece is made so well. A lot went into making this piece last for many generations. The large piece including the frame is around 37 inches by 37 inches. The frame is about 1 3/4 inches thick. This piece is in very good condition. No stains or yellowing. Rare to see a clock of this design constructed of brass and chrome which leads me to believe back in the day it was probably made as an exhibition piece or for a special presentation. The size is 26 cm length , 22 cm high, 12 cm wide, weight 3.75 kg and its in working order. The back of the movement has Tower Clerkenwell London engraved, Tower was used by S Davall & Sons and started using this name in the early 1930s and continued until the start of the war.
