He is 19 tall, fully jointed, kapok stuffed body, excelsior stuffed head and full mohair coat. Amber glass eyes are sewn in. Black horizontal nose and mouth stitching. Here we have a rare & Beautiful, full size, Lion Head violin, all in good playing order and condition. This beauty has a gorgeous, deep mature, sweet tone and plays superbly. Set up with a new set of Thomastik Dominant strings, and a new set of Jujube Hill style pegs, which work very well. The one piece back, is made from nicely figured flamed Maple, as is the sides and neck, with a fine to medium grained Spruce top, all in good condition, with some very minor scratches to be expected. A lovely collectable rare violin, which sounds as good as it looks, would suit an intermediate, to advanced player. This complete outfit comes with a modern lightweight case with shoulder straps and music pocket, plus a good working bow with plenty of hair, and good tension, plus a new tub of golden Rosin.
