A wonderful rare & beautiful 180 year old Victorian Antique Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Made in Great Britain during the reign of Queen Victoria in around 1840. Made from fine quality quality mahogany with a beautiful brass dial with silvered chapter rings having Roman numeral markers below a silvered Plaque depicting Father Time. An extremely handsome clock that would stand very proud in any room. It also has the more valuable 8 day movement so only needs winding once a week rather than daily. A masterpiece of a clock thatll last a lifetime and much much more. Then cabinet has a wonderful patina and glow, created over the last 180 years. A stunning piece of British history that was as essential in every wealthy household. Our clocks are half the price of antique & clock shops. This gorgeous walnut Victorian style clock would look well anywhere in your home. I don’t believe it has been restored, it is structurally sound, and cosmetically it is, in my opinion, in remarkably pristine original condition. To come up to the standards of the rest of the clock, the clock face should be restored. What can be read of the sticker on the back indicates that the clock, or at least the casing was made by a company in Massachusetts. The unique pendulum reads “PATD MCH 1st 1876″ and the brass ring around the original clock face is stamped Patd. ” It measures 22″ high and is 16 at the widest. The clock has a variety of chimes, so if you have a favorite clockmaker, he can make this beauty sing again!
