A stunning gold plated 19th century Kashmiri Quran manuscript (complete) penned in the beautiful north Indian Nastaliq script. Gold illumination in the beginning, the middle and the last two pages of the manuscript. In total, Kashmiri gold plated artistry on six leaves. Chapter headings in red ink. The text background neatly coloured. Crude repairs to about 15 leaves without loss of text. Slight ink spread on very few words (common with Quran manuscrips). Size 21 cm by 14 cm. Recent maroon leather binding sympathetically done to maintain the oriental/Mughal look. A beautiful example of late-Mughal Kashmiri manuscript artistry. Please see images for a better idea of the condition and feel free to ask questions. Going for a very reasonable price. The item “Gold Plated Late Mughal Kashmiri Quran Manuscript.
