Old & rare prayerbook with beautiful silver locks and full page engravings 1780
Beautiful little Dutch Psalm or prayerbook, richly illustrated , with fine leather binding and silver work, end 18th century. Dutch title :’Christelyke onderwijzingen en Gebeden’- published in Utrecht by Cornelis Kribber in 1780 – fine leather binding with floral details and a Cross in reliëf – with excellent silver locks and clasps, silver marked, probably from the Northern region of Holland – richly illustrated with many full page engravings – 607 pages, gold on cut – 16 x 10 x 4 cm. In excellent condition, complete, solid, inside clean. Silver should be polished. Some minor wear along the edges of the covers, but strong binding. In great antiquarian condition! Has applied brass hour markers with 5 minute numbers, gilt hands and brass bezel; 15 jewel 526-5 caliber typical Atmos movement with torsion pendulum having pendulum lock down lever inside the case, movement is not running. Case has gilt brass framing with beveled reverse decorated hard plastic panels on the front, top, rear and sides which is gilt decorated with Chinese scenes on a black background. A Stunning Dressel Kister Full-Body Doll. Her lovely sheer dress is sewn and wired to look like it is blowing in the wind. You can adjust the wire however you like, to have her dress blowing up. Her pink tulle slip. Peeks out from beneath. Note in the above photo, there is invisible cord to the front. This cord makes the swing hang at a 90 degree angle. As seen in photo below. You can leave the cord off if you prefer; then. Hang at more like a 45 degree angle. It looks great either way, your choice! Most of my photos are taken without this front cord.
