This Georgian copper ale jug is a rare and beautiful find, with bags of charm and character it’s covered in small dents and marks. With a capacity of two gallons and lead custom stamps from the 1800’s to confirm it’s size, it is perfect for displaying or even using in your home. It was made in England and has all the original features that make it a valuable piece for collectors, such as wonderful stepped seems and a fantastic riveted handle. It measures approximately 14″ tall by 12 /2″ wide at the base and is very sound from top to bottom. The design of the jug is stunning, with intricate handmade details that add to its charm. It’s made with high-quality copper and has a unique farmhouse / tavern style that reflects the Georgian period. This very rare piece is a must-have for those who appreciate historical artefacts and want to add a touch of history to their collection. Raised on two beautiful turned column supports with reeded swept legs with brass end caps and castors. With an additional leave to extend when required. Made to wonderful proportions it will stand proud in any room. The mahogany has a wonderful colour and pleasing patina created over the last few decades.
