RARE BEAUTIFUL VICTORIAN HALLMARKED BROWN LEATHER CRISS CROSS DESIGN CARD CASE. This is a Rare Victorian Exquisite Brown Leather Criss Cross Pattern Card Case, this i believe was carved c1870 making it around 151 years old this is a Beautiful Brown Leather Card Case with a Lovely Criss Cross Pattern all around the Case, The Card Case is Rectangle in Shape. All around it has the most lovely textured Criss Cross Pattern Brown Leather Finish, and has a Flower Hallmark to the Base and the Lid and the top edge of the Lid, the Lid has a nice tight fit and the inner neck of the Case has a light Brown Texture with a Black Line Edging, the inside of the Card Case has a Beautiful Patterned Lining, this would have been owned by someone Wealthy in the Victorian Period when times were very different to today. Rare & Beautiful 1950s Russian Hallmarked 875 Silver Clam Shell Compact 92.4g
Rare & Beautiful 1950s Russian Hallmarked. 875 Silver Clam Shell vanity Compact. The 1950s powder compact with a moulded bakelite type material which is textured and coloured in the form of a clam shell and mounted in solid. The push button hinge lid opens to a silver gilt interior, mirror one side and slide-release catch covered powder bowl opposite. The compact is fully hallmarked. 875 with a Russian makers name I cannot decipher as it is in Russian. The purity of silver is 875 parts of 1000 and the silver has a light gold wash over the top called gilding. The condition overall of the compact is very good, it has some minor scratches, wear which are entirely commensurate with age including to small areas of the gilding. I have left the compact un-cleaned but it would benefit from a suitable clean. The compact approximately measures 7.7 cm long by 6.7 cm wide by 3.3 cm thick at its thickest point and approximately weighs 92.4g.
