Beautiful Rare Antique Royal Doulton Lambeth Oil Lamps on WT&S Candlesticks

Beautiful Pair of Antique Royal Doulton Lambeth Oil Lamps on WT&S Candlesticks. Where do I start with these! The lamp bowls are Royal Doulton Lambeth 1884 stamped on the underside. The burners however are marked Gaudard. I assume these were added later. As you can see in the very last photo, one of them has been attached poorly and there is a gap, giving the lamp an uneven appearance. I would imagine this is a fairly easy fix with the right tools. Both advancers work, but only one has a wick. The candlesticks are actually antique William Tonks & Sons candlesticks! The lamps can be taken out and the brass collars put in their place, turning them into regular candlesticks. So I really don’t know what the history is. Regardless, the lamps are beautiful pieces of pottery, and you probably won’t see another pair of lamps quite like these. Please not the “oddities” and ask if you have any questions. Please study the pictures so I you aren’t surprised by anything when you get them! Truly lovely looking and feeling lamps. Beautiful Rare Pair Of American Chrome & Wood Art Deco Candlestick Bedside Lamps

Here we have a gorgeous rare pair of chrome bedside lamps. These are absolutely delightful, I have searched for hours and hours trying to find more information about these but I haven’t been able to find any others the same. I believe they are American from their style, the electrical fitting is unsual and something I haven’t seem before. There is the words “Made in England” to the bakelite bulb holders. Anyway they are beautiful pieces in their own right and certainly worth getting rewired and given a loving place in a new home. I also love the light bulbs that came with them, I’m sure they would look fab lit up. Nice wooden base too – possibly mahogany, the contrast between that and the chrome is lovely. They would look great either side of the bed, in an office or on a pair of matching side tables. Each measures approximately 6.5 inches to the bulb holder by 3.5 inches at the base. The opaline marbled glass shades are in good condition, no cracks or chips. The metal area is in good condition and is showing little signs of age. The black base has littel chips in the painted finish. These are really solid and sturdy lamps, made by Tele Ambience. They sit on some cute little retro feet. The lamps are in working condition. The wiring is French and may need to be replaced for your country. Each country has different regulations so I leave the wiring to be changed in the country where it will be utilised.
