ANTIQUE BEAUTIFUL FRAME WITH OIL ON VELVET PAINTING FOX & MATE 52 X 20 1/2 RARE. You are looking at a beautiful frame with an oil on velvet painting. The frame is in pretty nice shape, but there are small cracks in the two upper corners that may just be in the paint. The top decoration is missing one of the last little bumps. The painting has a rip on the mid right and is pulling away from the wood under frame. There is a rip in the center that I have pictured. The mid left (when facing it) is pulling from the under frame as well. You really dont see these blemishes unless you are looking close up. I measured the minimal amount of a fabric or canvas that you would need to replace the painting. That measurement is about 49 3/4 x 20 1/2. This amount would cover what is covered now, but I think it could be larger and lapped under the back frame piece.
