Pair of Rare Salvaged 19th Century Antique Solid Oak Hand-Carved Wood Panels. This is an original pair of antique hand carved Oak Panels. They have been salvaged and believed were carved in France in the latter half of the 1800’s and would have adorned a majestic piece of Victorian/Edwardian furniture and later thankfully salvaged from the damage of the second world war. The panels each sit within an original hand crafted oak frame edging and each is beautifully and deeply carved with an oblong cabochon centrepiece surrounded by scrolls and foliage on both sides. Richly crafted, from one of the hardest of woods – solid oak – in extremely high relief with amazingly sharp detail. Including their original oak edging – the panels each measure 14.5″ x 11″ inches (37x28cm). They are in excellent and original condition having no cracks, splits, worm damage or repairs. The photos do not show the warmth of the wood and the beautiful patination that only the passing of years can build. Could they lift your diy project? The last Photo shows them being tissue wrapped and bubble wrapped for full carriage protection. They will be well packaged for safe carriage or for collection by arrangement. This beautiful and very rare original and untouched French or Dutch heavy pine and Elm painted dresser dates from around the 1890’s and is in great condition. The paintings are a genuine work of art in themselves with lovely detail and have been painted on with oils and the utmost care has been taken not to smudge or over paint, it is faded and rubbed off here and there but still in remarkable condition. The colours are quite toned down and not as bright or in your face as the photos suggest! All the glass is original with no cracks or damage. The drawers are dovetailed and run in and out smoothly. The dresser work top shows it’s. Age with all the undulations and lumps and bumps but looks fab! There will be marks etc consistent with the age and use of the item, but this just adds charm to the character of the piece. The top does come if to make transporting easier. 55inches wide and 80 in height, and 27 inches in depth approx. The item is at Manchester you can pick it up if you wanted to or send a courier to pick it up. I do know a hard working and trustworthy guy that would deliver in England only at a very reasonable rate, he would need help at your end as he works alone. I would need your postcode to get a quote.
