Following his arrival to the US, he worked for Louis Comfort Tiffany as a chemist at the newly formed Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company in Corona, Queens. After almost 10 years, Bach left Tiffany to establish his own company (which actually infuriated Louis Tiffany). While in business, Quezals Art Nouveau styled glass was very comparable in quality and beauty to all similar well-known glass makers of the period with examples being found in most if not all prominent museums. The shade has an outstanding golden zipper-type decoration with stunning iridescent hues which gives it a very unique glow. It is properly signed. On the inside of fitter rim. 4¼ tall by 4¼ at widest with a 3 1/8 fitter rim. The shade is in excellent condition, free of any chips, cracks or repairs and very minimal wear.
