Beautiful Victorian Rare Quality Carved Stag Pinchbeck Brooch. Here is a really beautiful victorian rare pinchbeck carved stag brooch. The brooch measures one & a half inches by nearly two inches and is all set in a lovely pinchbeck frame which is typically ornate with a nice design & yellow gold in colour which i have listed but could be gold fronted, but i havent tested & then has a painted black metal back casing. The brooch has a fabulous enchanting scene of a stag in a woodland scene in exquisite carved detail and then covered by glass. This brooch dates very clearly to the victorian period and comes complete with a pin & a rolling Cclasp working well, which has been changed from the origional clasp, see pics & really is in very neat well kept condition, but there is a chip to the edge of the glass, but none of this detracts, but is just mentioned for total accuracy, see pics. However this really is a lovely victorian quality brooch in very good origional condition as stated and a beautiful unusual rare example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history.
