This 18th century needlework or embroidered rug was made in the region of Arraiolos, Portugal. The vivid yellows, lavender-blues, and forrest greens are harmoniously blended while the superb design clearly shows the legacy of Moorish influence in the region. 223 cm by 120 cm. The rug is in very good and clean condition, with some small areas of restoration sympathetically carried out. We deal in high quality antique furniture and decorative arts from the long 18th century. We are drawn especially by pieces with strong design, pleasing proportions, and good patina and colour, which we think complement both traditional and modern interiors. We also offer some artworks as well as items of 20th century design. AC/DC Superheterodyne, 5 tubes, covers 535 to 1625 kilo cycles, 115 volts. Rare Radio & Rare Condition Serial # 1791 The cord although original has been cut, thus radio is untested. Cosmetically radio is pristine with no chips, cracks, nicks, dings, deep scratches, or tube burns. Has bakelite knobs, and original speaker grill cloth.
