Beautiful Rare 18th C. French Linen and Wool Embroidery. This beautiful rare 18th century French and wool embroidery has a natural colored linen background. With charming repeated flowers in blue, red, and gold enclosed diamond-like shapes in a soft olive green. There are small lovely flowers surrounding the diamond -like shapes. Wonderful for collectors of 18th C. 22″ W x 35 ” L. There are areas that are somewhat threadbares. However, to use they only add to the charm of this early fabric. See photos for detail. Beautiful & Rare 18 Antique 1930s German Helvetic Musical Bellows Teddy Bear

This beautiful, large antique musical teddy bear was originally a bright shade of green mohair, now faded to an off white/grey colour. I believe that’Helvetic’ is a generic name for musical teddy bears like mine, so it is not always possible to directly attribute bears to a specific maker. I have provided a fairly detailed condition report, which covers ted’s most obvious flaws/repairs, but what I have not mentioned is that amazingly, his musical bellows mechanism is in excellent working order. I do not recognise the tune he plays, but guarantee that it plays loud and clear. These characterful, musical teddy bears from the 1930s era are understandably highly prized and I think the (18) generous size of my bear, makes him even more special.
