Rare Beautiful Victorian Solid Silver & Floral Mother of Pearl Card Case c1880. This is a Rare Beautiful Victorian Solid Silver & Mother of Pearl Card Case, this is believe is c1880 making it around 140 years old, the Silver isnt Hallmarked but does test for Solid Silver, this is a really Stunning Victorian Card Case with the front being Solid Silver with a really Beautiful Design, it is engine turned with Striped Patterns , and each stripe has a lovely pattern within, there is a chased design all around the edge, and on each corner there is a Shell Pattern, on the sides and top and Bottom there are lovely Flowers, the centre has a Circular Cartouche with a Shield inside with the Initials M. The back of the Card Case has a lovely striped Patter, the side also has a push Button and it opens the Case nicely, the Hinge is good and it opens and closes nicely. The inside of the Case retains its original Silk Material. One side of the Case has a strip of Mother of Pearl Missing, and a piece at the base has broken off, and is only mentioned for accuracy, that being said it is still a Beautiful Card Case, and would have been owned by someone Wealthy back in the Victorian Period, when times were very different to today, and this would add something special to any collection.
