A rare & beautiful 160 year old Victorian Antique Oak Heavily Carved Grandfather Clock. Made in Great Britain during the reign of Queen Victorian in around 1860 by P brockendon of Kingsbridge. With a beautiful ornate brass clock face, Roman numerals and a date aperture. Above the face is brass aperture depicting Father Time, written above and below tempest fugit. The rare and beautiful oak cabinet has been heavily carved throughout with religious scenes of preachers, missionaries and figures wearing headdresses and rural scenes. A true antique and a real piece of history. It would stand very proud in any room. Then oak cabinet has the most amazing patina and glow, created over the last 160 years. A stunning piece of British history that was as essential in every wealthy household. The clock has the much more valuable 8 day movement which has been beautifully overhauled, it almost looks new.
