Beautiful Victorian Rare Gold Zeus & Hebe Shell Cameo Brooch. Here is a really beautiful victorian gold shell cameo of zeus & hebe brooch. The brooch measures two inches by nearly two & a half inches and is all set in a gold coloured mount, which looks to be gold, or it could be pinchbeck, but it is quality & i havent tested it. The brooch is just lovely and depicts a shell cameo of hebe & zeus in the form of an eagle, with lovely quality to detail and this is a really nicely quality carved cameo. The cameo has a pin and CClasp working well and dates clearly to the victorian period & as with age & wear, it does have a small piece missing from the edge of the cameo, but its not on the carving, please see pics, However i dont think it detracts as i never realised till closely looking as the cameo is so interesting. However this really is a beautiful victorian quality rare camee in condition as stated and such beautiful interesting example of these. I love antique jewellery, so hope that you to can appreciate my items, that have been pre loved with history.
