A Rare & Beautiful 110 year old Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid wardrobe made by the famous Gillows, furniture maker to the king. Made in England during the reign of King George V In around 1910 to a beautiful standard. With a beautiful deep double arched pediment over two mirrored doors with line inlay detail with a feature central panel with beautiful inlaid detailing. The base fitted with two drawers with lovely brass swing handles. All raised upon bracket feet. Made to wonderful proportions, it would grace any room. The wood has a wonderful colour and Patina created over the last 110 years. A beautiful piece of English history thats overflowing with historic charm. This piece looks wonderful. The wardrobe splits into 5 pieces for easy transport and slots into position without any screws. Drawers open and close nicely although a little stiff. The sides of the pediment on the top have been planed down a little to allow it to fit into a particular space at some point in history. Height 213 cm – Width 155 cm – depth 50 cm.
