Beautiful Victorian Rare Carved Whitby Jet Bead Necklace & Bracelet. Here is a really beautiful victorian carved whitby jet necklace & bracelet. The necklace measures nearly twenty six inches all the way round and is all made of real whitby jet. The beads all gently graduate in size from just under half an inch in diameter to over threequarters of an inch in diameter and there are 20 beads. All of the beads are carved with half being carved which gives a faceted effect & the other beads are heavily carved with a lovely effect and they are hand knotted between each bead. Nicely the necklace comes complete with a matching bracelet measuring nine inches all the way round with beads all measuring half inch & under and there are 10 beads & all the beads are the same as the necklace. The necklace is origional to the victorian period around the 1880s when whitby jet and fabulous mourning jewellery was at its height, and as such some of the beads have nibbles and chips and scratch marks as you would expect with age and wear & two beads have large chips out of them, but it would be very easy to change the necklace to a longer necklace with the bracelet beads which may have origionally come off of the necklace & then you would lose these two damaged beads, but i certainly do not think it detracts, see pics. However this really is a beautiful victorian rare whitby jet necklace in good origional complete condition as stated which looks lovely worn. A Rare & Beautiful 110 year old Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid wardrobe made by the famous Gillows, furniture maker to the king. Made in England during the reign of King George V In around 1910 to a beautiful standard. With a beautiful deep double arched pediment over two mirrored doors with line inlay detail with a feature central panel with beautiful inlaid detailing. The base fitted with two drawers with lovely brass swing handles. All raised upon bracket feet. Made to wonderful proportions, it would grace any room. The wood has a wonderful colour and Patina created over the last 110 years. A beautiful piece of English history thats overflowing with historic charm. This piece looks wonderful. The wardrobe splits into 5 pieces for easy transport and slots into position without any screws. Drawers open and close nicely although a little stiff. The sides of the pediment on the top have been planed down a little to allow it to fit into a particular space at some point in history. Height 213 cm – Width 155 cm – depth 50 cm. Beautiful & Rare WMF Art Nouveau Silver Plated, Engraved Crystal Glass, Small Claret Jug / Ewer. Here we have a beautiful and very rare WMF Small Jug- Ewer, with WMF exquisitely engraved Crystal glass, a beautiful piece of exceptional quality and very stylish. The Jug collar is also bright cut engraved, with a very elaborate handle and strong hinged lid. The perfect size for two glasses of wine, a highly sought after & collectable piece and totally useable. The engraved crystal glass has no damage whatsoever, I have looked around very carefully and its free from any damage, chips, nibbles, nicks, cracks and No scratches, just a few on the contact surface of the base, its also free from any clouding of the crystal glass. Considering this Jug / Ewer is approximately 130 years of age, its in Very good antique condition. There is some silver loss with a glint of brass showing through the silver in some places, No dents, dints or scratches and no breakages whatsoever. The Jugs lid and hinge is strong with very little play , opens and closes perfectly/. The Jug stands straight and true. Height with Finial : 18.0 cm. Width widest Point including handle : 12 cm. This beautiful rare 19th Century Chinese silk appliqué conversational embroidery has a creme colored silk/satin background with charming vignettes of figures, flower pots, birds and butterflies. All done in appliqué! 26 inches in Length by 25.5 inches in Width. The background fabric is fragile and has several “breaks” or rips. There are a few pieces of the appliqué are missing. A Rare & Beautiful 90 Year Old Antique Oak Bureau bookcase. Made in England during the reign of King George V in around 1930 to a lovely standard. The top section with a shaped top over glazed beautifully made in the Art Deco style. The lower section with fall front with carved detailing revealing a fitted interior of miniature cupboards. The base fitted with three long drawers with lovely Art Deco handles and carved drawer fronts, flanked by columns. All raised on upon bracket feet.
