A Rare & Beautiful 170 year old Antique 19th Century French Armoire. Made in France during the reign of King Louis Philippe I in around 1850 to a lovely standard. The beautiful deep moulded shaped cornice over two lovely french panelled doors with ornate escutcheons. The doors open to reveal a hanging rail and pegs to the rear. All raised upon a plinth base. Made to wonderful proportions and bursting with french country charm, t would grace any room. The wood has a wonderful colour and pleasing Patina created over the last 170 years. A beautiful piece of French history thats overflowing with historic charm. As expected some wear in line with its age. With minor knocks, bumps and small splits. Excellent french design means this cupboard will arrive. Flat pack – no screws or screwing required to put it together it just all slots together. The two sides slot in the base then the four back panels can be tapped/ pushed into place with the three planks also. The lid can then be slotted on top and the doors slotted into place. No hinges just a thin rod on either end which slots into the armoire. Quite enjoyable putting together and took me about 15 minutes on my easier. Far easier with two people. All fits together nicely, few gaps around the top depending on how level floor is as seen in pictures. A wonderful rare french Antique which are not easy to come by these days.
