BEAUTIFUL RARE 18TH CENTURY GEORGIAN 18CT GOLD DOTTED PIQUE WORK LADIES ETUI. This has been tested and is 18ct Gold, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this would have once belonged to a wealthy lady in the 18th century and been used daily, it would have been a wonderful example of a fine gold pique work Etui, this was in a time when things were so very different, if this Etui could talk i bet it could tell some fascinating stories, it is so very tactile and has the most wonderful feel, this will add something very special to any collection. My photos dont do it justice. 3.5 cm across. In lovely condition with just the normal amount of wear expected in an Etui of this age, it has a couple of hairlines as shown and the top band is lacking and loss to a couple of pique dots, it doesnt detract at all from its beauty, just mentioned for accuracy..
