Rare & Beautiful Vtg 30s 40s Rose Print Bias Gown. Not originally intended for day wear but could be worn as a vintage tea dress. It’s so pretty and deserves to be seen! The lovely nightdress appears to have been made and never worn, superb condition. Stored by the original owner since the 30’s/40’s. I have another similar, made by the same lady in my other listings which is slightly larger on the waist and hips. I don’t think the fabric is silk but has a silk feel, likely rayon. With delicate frill to neckline and hemline, the hem is fashioned into a’V’ shape at the front, pink ribbon bows to shoulders. A bow tie to back. Antique white rather than paper white, with a small and delicate rose print. Please not the waist measurement, approx 34. This is an over the head to get on garment, without zips so this 34″ measurement needs to go over the larger bust (approx 36-38″), it is bias cut so some’give’ to the fabric. I managed to get it on, easing it over the bust, but needed someone to help me pull it up and off with my arms upstretched if you know what I mean! The waist can be drawn in with the tie at the back. Across front waist 17 inches. Across front hips 24 inches.
