A Rare & Beautiful 330 Year old Antique Oak Coffer. Made in England during the reign of King William III in around 1690 from fine quality oak. The beautiful moulded plank heavy hinged lid lifts to reveal a spacious interior fitted. The coffer with three panelled front with triangular carvings and arch carved rails and supports. All raised upon stile legs. Made to wonderful proportions, a true antique that would grace any room. The oak has a wonderful rich glow & pleasing patina created over the last three centuries. A wonderful piece of English history that’s bursting with historic charm. As expected with age the usual wear and tear with historic chips, holes and moisture damage from the days of fireplaces and damp mansions. Height 77 cm – Width 132 cm – depth 52 cm.
