C e l es ti a l N o n e s u ch. Rare & Beautiful Antique 19th Century Inlaid Floral Ceylon Wooden Box. This lovely late 19th Century piece is most likely from Ceylon because of the design. The middle of this box displays a lovely Asian water scene and the entire box is decorated ornately with flowers and intricate design. There is a small amount of inlay loss and the lid is slightly lifted on the left side as you can see from the front view photo. There is no key for the lock. The wood is deep, dark, rich and smooth.
