This Dzi bead was bought in Tibet in 1988. The bead is well shaped with a fine double symbol design that may represent a flower or an abstract symbol. Both symbols are banded at the base close to each end. One side has a small cavity where at some point the agate surface. It was dug out to be used as a protective medicine. There are numerous signs of wear all over the surface as well as at the mouth of the bead. There are several ” Naga scaling” bands, due to erosion and age.
