Beautiful Antique Rare Solid Silver & Enamel Pansy Brooch, John Atkins & Sons. Here is a really lovely antique solid silver & enamel pansy brooch. The brooch measures just over one inch in diameter & is all made of solid silver. This brooch is really fabulous quality of what you would expect from this maker & depicts a pansy which is beautifully guilloched enamelled in colours of blue, white, yellow in stunning detail. On the back it has a pin & Cclasp working well & it has the early written mark for sterling silver, no-1289 & dates to around the 1920s & the quality makers mark of JAS for the quality maker of John Atkins & Sons & the enamel looks to be nearly perfect, but has very slight loss to a minute section, it certainly is not obvious by the naked eye but just mentioned for total accuracy, but is so vibrant, see pics. However this really is a lovely antique brooch in very good origional complete condition that looks as wearable as when it was made & a rare example of these..
