The cutting is exquisite with table top fronts with star slices all around the edge and with the backs being deeply pointed with star cuts all around. The colour depends on the background and the light source but in any situation has beautiful clarity. When the necklace is placed under a UV light it changes colour to a pale ethereal eau de nil and this is due to the minerals placed in the glass for extra clarity and light refraction. This being the reason the glass is so lovely even to the naked eye. The glass is set open backed in its individual setting with lovely twin prongs that look decorative as well as being functional. The open settings allow the slight to flood in and make the most of the colour, cut and clarity. The links are soldered cheaper necklaces did not have this extra process. This kept the stones safe and ensured that it hung beautifully and did not snarl up (like some do). The necklace fastens with a secure ring bolt clasp. The necklace is app 15.95 inches long.
