J J Kohn Antique Bentwood Armchair C 1905 Austrian Rare Beautiful

Delightful bentwood armchair by JJ Kohn of Austria dating to around 1905 according to old catalogues. Quite rare this one. Wonderful shapes and curls, especially the backrest. I think may be referred to as an Angel Chair. Incised JJ Kohn mark to underside. Probably has had a replacement wooden seat at some point instead of the original cane. Measures 35 inches tall to back, 22.75 inches across arms, seat height 18.75 inches, width 19. In sound condition with age related wear and patina which is authentic and adds character. A screw could be added to one arm as it seems to be missing. Lovely chair which oozes charm and quality, good luck. Please see my other items for sale, all items can be. Antique 1886 Singer 12 Hand Crank Sewing Machine w Bentwood Case. RARE BEAUTIFUL

Antique “Singer” 1886 New Family 12, Serial numbers: 7132089, 1835689. Manufactured in Elizabeth, NJ. Hand crank model with nice Bentwood Case with the Singer emblem on the front. This is a beautiful example of an unrestored antique Singer 12 hand crank sewing machine, with the desirable “fiddle base”. The acanthus leaves stenciling are in excellent condition and are still bright and colorful with only a few rubs from normal wear and use. There are also a few nicks and minor blemishes from normal age related wear. The bobbin and shuttle are in place under the base plate. There is a photo of the underneath of the machine and you can see thread extending from the bobbin. The machine wheel turns freely and the needle easily moves up and down. The bentwood case fits well and securely goes to place to protect the sewing machine and is in great cosmestic condition…. The Singer emblem is almost unblemished.
