A Rare & Beautiful 70 Year Old Mid Century Double Mahogany Wardrobe. Made in England during the middle of the 20th Century in around 1950 to a lovely standard by furniture maker AY Crown. With a moulded cornice with two arching panelled wardrobe doors with brass pull handles enclosing a fitted interior with shelf and hanging rail. All raised upon a moulded base with platform feet. Made to wonderful proportions, it would grace any room. We don’t believe in the usual huge mark ups. We hand-pick every piece of antique furniture and pride ourselves on our low prices. Quality you can trust for far less! The mahogany has a lovely colour and patina created over the half century. A lovely piece of English history that’s overflowing with historic charm. As expected with age some wear and tear from use including marks and scuffs and minor losses to trip. One of the back feet also suffer a historic split. A Rare & Beautiful 100 Year Old Edwardian Antique Metal Bound and Zinc Lined Travel Trunk. This special edition trunk known as “The Marshall Improved Airtight & Watertight Chest” was often used by the military. Made in England during the early part of the 20th century in around 1920 to a lovely standard. This high quality travel trunk has been bound with metal and stamped with the name E H Harrison and is fitted with castors to the base. The interior has been carefully lined with zinc and expertly designed to meet the airtight and watertight standards of this trunk. The interior bearing the makers label and patent number. Made to a high standard and good proportions, it would grace any room. We don’t believe in the usual huge mark ups. Beautiful Barr Flight Barr moth plate dating to around 1810 with colorful finely hand painted moth at center surrounded by an elaborate enameling in mint green and puce red. Very fine gold gilding decoration surrounds plate. Impressed B. F. B. Measures 8.25 inches diameter. Condtion is excellent no chips, cracks or repairs. Only some wear spots most on the gold outer edge of plate. See photos for details. Very rare plate to find at estate sale. Also I listed separately other fine plates from the 19th century. This is a fantastic looking and quite rare, large 19th Century wooden hourglass. It measures 1 hour and seems to be very accurate. The wood on the two ends has shrunk slightly on the sides against the grain = very common in early pieces. It measures fully 12″ tall one of the ends measures 6″ wide x 5 3/4 wide. The other end measures 5 3/4″ wide x 5 1/2″ wide. It’s in very good antique condition and the hour glass portion works work. Please see photos for condition and design. This is an incredible looking piece.

Up for sale is an extremely rare, interesting and important Indian brass ewer with traces of greenish-black lac inlay. This elegant Ewer (or water pitcher) was made around 1680 during the Mughal Dynasty. Ornate flower designs completely cover its surface, typical of Mughal decoration. A ewer like this was always used with a matching basin, since the water inside was for washing your hands. Hand washing is part of a religious ritual in many parts of the Islamic world. Water for washing hands is also customarily provided to guests as a form of polite greeting. Objects like this ewer were highly esteemed, not only for their beauty, but their importance to life – in parts of the world where water is hard to obtain, a water pitcher is worthy of praise. Artists celebrated ewers by painting them in graceful floral calligraphy, and they even inspired poems. This ewer is Heavy and massive. This type of ewers are part of many museums collections.
