Stunningly beautiful antique rare reliquary display cabinet vitrine

Stunning rare reliquary display cabinet. This is such a beautiful piece that is so decorative and perfect interior decorators piece. I bought a few years ago from an antique shop and have enjoyed displaying treasure in it over the years. The outside has such a decorative patina with the metallic gold and painted surface and decorative mouldings. The pediment at the top is especially pretty. Inside the back is lined with deep wine faded velvet which is very sumptuous. The cabinet has three heavy glazed windows bevelled edges. Looks lovely with a antique tassel hanging from the handle. A Rare & Beautiful 110 Year Old Edwardian Antique Mahogany Satinwood Band Display Cabinet. Made in England during the reign of King George V in around 1910 to a lovely standard. With a lovely moulded cornice with deep frieze and satinwood cross banding. Fitted with a lovely astral glazed cupboard door flanked by glazed panels with cross banded supports. The base with bow front worktop with straight edge over a central bow front cupboard door with cross banding. Flanked by decorated panels and raised on cabriole legs. Made to lovely proportions and to good standard. It will stand proud in any room. We don’t believe in the usual huge mark ups. A beautiful antique presse papier or paper weight made from a old electric cable. In 1883, Emil Rathenau founded Deutsche Edison-Gesellschaft für angewandte Elektricität in Berlin. Initially producing electrical equipment (such as light bulbs, motors and generators), the company soon became involved in AC electric transmission systems. In 1907, Peter Behrens was appointed as artistic consultant to AEG. This led to the creation of the company’s initial corporate identity, with products and advertising sharing common design features. The company expanded in the first half of the 20th century, and it is credited with a number of firsts and inventions in electrical engineering. During the same period, it entered the automobile and airplane markets. Electrical equipment for railways was produced during this time, beginning a long history of supplying the German railways with electrical equipment. According to the 1930 Encyclopedia Britannica: Prior to 1923 it was the largest electrical manufacturing concern in Germany and one of the most important industrial undertakings in the world. After WWII, the company lost its businesses in the eastern part of Germany. After a merger in 1967, the company was renamed Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft AEG-Telefunken (from 1979 on only AEG-Telefunken). A Rare Beautifully Waxed Glazed Oval 1 Door 1 Drawer Display Cabinet. This cabinet is in good condition. We have professionally waxed it in a lovely antique brown bri wax giving it a stunning patina. The cabinet would look well in both an old or modern property in any room for any type of storage of a collection etc amongst similar antique pine furniture. The cabinet stands on splayed front feet and square back legs supporting the main section. There is one large drawer to the bottom with ceramic handles. Above the drawer there is one large door with the bottom section having a dummy drawer. There is one large oval glazed panel that is totally original. The door is on its original pin hinges. The top has a standard graduated cornice that is beautifully shaped and a really fancy motif to the centre. There are also carved corbles to the top. Behind the door there are shelves for storage. The height is 193cm, the width is 112cm and the depth is 57cm. It is simple’we deliver everything personally in England/Wales. This way we are 100% sure that your item/furniture reaches you safe and sound. We NEVER use couriers.
