Rare Antique Mahogany Gaming Chest Beautiful Playing Pieces Poker Chess Dominoes

This is a Large, heavy, Rare, Antique Mahogany Gaming Chest. Inside are Beautiful, some Bone, some Bakeliet, Playing Pieces for Poker, Chess, Checkers, Dominoes, etc. The Red possible Staunton chess set alone is worth a small fortune. Most pieces have never been used. Please check out the pictures as it shows the grain of the “bone” pieces. This box and all pieces date back to the late 1800s or very early 1900s. The mahogany box itself with the drawer is sublime. There is only a tiny piece of wood missing at the back bottom as shown in the pictures. The key is there and the locks work perfectly. I have seen many games boxes but this one must the most stunning and complete one. The box itself measures 15″ by 9″ by almost 7 tall. It weighs over 25 lbs.

A beautiful solid silver trinket of snuff box. It is hallmarked with two small touch marks and tests as high grade silver. I would date it to the mid 20th century although its lid has been mounted with a very finely engraved 19th century Chinese gaming token. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs and the token is free from chips cracks and repairs. The lid closes tightly to form a good seal. It measures 2.75 inches (6.9cms) wide by over 1 inch (3cms) by 0.75 inches tall and weighs 50 grams. A beautifully made interesting example.
