VTG English Inkwell Dogs (Matched Pair). There is a largely illegible maker’s mark on each dog. You can make out “England” on one. Crazing, residue, and light marks throughout. This item has been described to the best of my ability.

The hinge to the lid is solid and in good condition. 6 inches from tail to nose and stands a little over 4 inches tall. Overall, this inkwell has amazing eye appeal due to both the vivid colors and the gorgeous patina that comes with age. I believe it dates back to the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. All in all, it’s a truly lovely example of a camel inkwell and one that any collector would love to have! Rare antique inkwell 1800’s. Height – 2,16 in. Diameter – 1,33 in. The bottle was found during excavations. There are a lot of air bubbles in the glass, since in those days glass made by hand. The bottle is in good condition. No chips and cracks. The inkwell is very unusual. Photo 6,7,8 air bubbles in the form of leaves are visible. Lip of uneven shape photo 12.
