For sale I have this delightful original early Victorian possibly Georgian 9ct gold almandine garnet ring size N 1/2. The piece is set with 4 garnets which are red with purple hews as the light changes. Each garnet measuring approximately 5mm across and each having a carat weight of 40 points. The gold is marked 9ct which is not unusual for a Victorian ring under 4g. This lovely antique ring is in overall very good condition with signs of age and use. As shown in the photos there is an old sizing mark which over time has worn down, the mark is stable with no movement. This not detract from the Beauty when wearing the piece. This hard to find piece is in overall very good condition and marked Austria. This wax doll sits about 6 1/2 tall on the cardboard box. She is 8 long measuring from head to toe. The box is 8 1/2″ long x 5 3/4″ x 2 tall. Small wear to the cardboard edges at the closure. The box is rather domed in the center and covered with actual bird feathers (her feather bed). Although there are a couple of small bare feathers, it is mostly covered. Her clothing is in very nice shape with only a small bit of yellowing due to age. No holes or tears. Oddly, her hands are discolored with not much detail. Her feet and shoes are nice. Her limbs are attached by wires (see pics). Regardless, she is sturdy and is wired on to the lid. It probably would have been difficult to make her in one piece with this bent pose. A small label (Austria) is placed over the gathered wire underneath the lid.
