Beautiful Rare Silverplated Brass WMF Art Nouveau Footed Bowl / Planter 1910's
A very nice, very well made vintage silverplated brass ornate design Art Nouveau bowl / planter in very nice condition, with no dents or dings, but show signs of surface ware to be expected commensurate with age and use. Marked by the Ostrich and two inscriptions “WMF” and “G” (Geislingen an der Steige) in a rhombus, placed in hatched arch, this mark was used from 1909 until around 1914 for the items exported to France. WMF is the abbreviation for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, which means Württemberg Metal Factory and was created in 1880 in the small town of Geislingen on the river in Germany. Would make an ideal planter for some flower bulbs or dry flower display. Measures: 10cm tall (to the top of handle) x 22cm in diameter. This item is in the category “Antiques\Furniture\Other Antique Furniture”. The seller is “a_venditore” and is located in this country: BG. This item can be shipped worldwide.
