The painting is on canvas with the background color in creme with a beautiful centered bouquet with lilacs, tulips, roses, and other flowers and leaves in pink , white and pale grey. There is a green border with lilacs in three sides. See photos for reference. Outwards 33.5 inches in width by 25 inches in length. Inwards 28 inches in width by 21 inches in length. Beautiful & Rare Antique French Renaissance Silk Woven Amberline Fabric (9144)

Be sure to add me to your. This incredibly gorgeous antique amberline was woven primarily in silk in France during the late Renaissance. The design features a striped layout with damask motifs in the wider bands alternating with floral and vine patterns and an ikat pattern. The colors are bright gold/yellow, green and tan. The fabric measures 29 1/2 inches in width by 19 inches in length. This heavy weight silk fabric would is threadbare in many places and is not recommended for sewing projects!! It would be wonderful framed for the serious collector of early textiles! This is antique fabric. There is a vertical seam approx. 10 in from the left edge. There is a stain in the lower left corner and threadbare areas throughout. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SEWING PROJECTS! Please see photos for reference.
