The wonderful oval mirror set within a high arched galleried back upon a top with chamfered edge over two short drawers and a twin door cupboard below. Finished with beautiful brass handles and quarter veneer panel doors. All raised upon cabriole legs. Made to beautiful proportions, It will stand proud in any room. The base fitted with two short drawers all with lovely brass pull handles. Made to wonderful large proportions, it would grace any room. The mahogany has a wonderful colour and Patina created over the last century. A beautiful piece of English history thats overflowing with historic charm. As expected some wear in line with its age. With minor splits and marks to the wardrobe through but doesnt much detract from its beauty. Due the size weight of this item it will be delivered with its doors unscrewed. So youll need to screw two of the doors back on to the cabinet. The whole wardrobe splits into 4 main pieces making it easy to move around. The drawer base is one section. The top section is made up of a double cupboard and a single cupboard sitting on the base. So these can be lifted into place. The cornice on the top then sits upon the cabinets. A Rare & Beautiful 100 Year Edwardian Antique Roll Top Desk. C1920

A Rare & Beautiful 110 Year Old Edwardian Antique Roll Top Desk. Made in England during the reign of King Georgian V in around 1915 to a lovely standard. The beautiful large roll top slides to reveal a writing surface with fitted interior. Above a large central drawer flanked by brushing slides and three pedestal drawers on either side. The drawer fronts fitted with brass swing handles and all raised upon tapering legs and brass castors. All Made to lovely proportions it would grace any room. The wood has a rich colour and pleasing patina created over the last 110 years. A wonderful piece of English furniture to work and relax from. These desks feature a wonderful automatic locker system whereby the roller top pushes back onto a lever behind the drawers which automatically locks them all with a hook behind. So when you close the roll top the drawers are locked and when you push it back the drawers unlock. The mechanism is still in tack and working well, a little stiff so you may need to push back in the roll top to unlock a drawer. The original roll top lids would automatically lock when the lid is closed. Requiring a key to unlock. No key so the original roll top lock has been removed but is present and with the desk.
