BEAUTIFUL RARE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SAMPSON MORDAN & CO SOLID STERLING SILVER PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE – LATE VICTORIAN ERA – HALLMARKED LONDON 1888. On offer is this beautiful, rare antique Victorian Sampson Mordan & Co solid sterling silver perfume scent bottle. It is rare due to its fabulous decoration in embossed repousse silver in the Aesthetic Movement style with exotic birds and flora – please see the photos. To the top there is a circular blank cartouche. It has a flip top lid and, internally, the original little stopper is intact and in place. This beautiful piece of history is of the highest quality, by the highly collectable firm of Sampson Mordan & Co. It was crafted in the later Victorian era, hallmarked London 1888. In good antique condition, you can imagine what a lovely addition this rare and beautiful bottle case would be to any collection of Sampson Mordan silver, or for you to give as a thoughtful, unusual gift! I also have another of these bottles, almost exactly the same and being offered in the same way, but with a slightly different design, a later date of 1892, and later, different Sampson Mordan hallmark. As noted, in good antique condition, especially considering it is 134 years old, just the usual slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
