This is an amazing beautiful antique and rare bronze medal with high reliefs of the famous leonardo Da Vinci. Leonardo di Ser Piero da Vinci, or simply Leonardo da Vinci, was a polymath born in present-day Italy, one of the most important figures of the High Renaissance, who stood out as a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, botanist, poet and musician. He is also known as the forerunner of aviation and ballistics. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance man, someone whose insatiable curiosity was matched only by his capacity for invention. He is considered one of the greatest painters of all time and possibly the most diverse talented person to have lived. According to Helen Gardner, an art historian, the depth and scope of his interests were unprecedented and his mind and personality seem superhuman to us, and the man himself mysterious and distant. The medal was made by the notable portuguese sculptor José de Moura in 1982. Both sides very detailed. A true piece of art. Has 8 cm diameter, 4 mm thickness, and weighs 184 grams.
