This extremely rare whole set has 30 pieces: 12 coffee cups, 12 plates, 1 coffee pot, 1 sugar pot and 1 creamer. They was decorated with gold gild all the over, with hand painted flowers like lilies and chrysanthemums. They were made in the late Meiji era to early Taisho period in the early 1900s, when Japanese started to be heavily influenced by the Western culture and the industrial revolution was booming in Japan. Bases marked with Made in Japan. Its common to see a coffee set with 6 cups or even 8 cups. This set has 12 cups with no missing pieces! This is extremely rare!! Tea pot: 6.76 height, 3.5 diameter. Sugar pot : 4.4 height, 3.2 diameter. Creamer: 4 height, 2.9 diameter. Coffee cup: 2.2 height, 2 diameter. Plate: 4.2 diameter, 0.6 height. Condition: In good antique condition with reasonable signs of age with stains, wear and tear loss of paint, color and gilt. Theres a small chip on one of the coffee cups. Provenance: From the estate of a prominent family in San Francisco, was with the family for over 80 years.
