Description – A beautiful rare old vintage Silver 925. (Sterling Silver) and hallmarked hinged lid small. Miniature treasure chest box-shaped box with a latch. Condition – with minor signs of aging but in excellent. Condition for its age. (Item Measurements) Height is about 5 cm. Length 5.8 cm. All measurements and weights are approximate. Rare Antique Oak Original Coffer Mule Chest Trunk 1700’s Hand Carved Initials

Intricate Geometric Carved Mule Chest – Carved Initials to the front. Height 88 cm x Width 115 cm x Depth 50 cm. A very fine quality antique English oak mule chest, dating back to 1700s with the most beautiful high relief geometric paneled carvings and an inlaid diamond frontage. This beautiful aged English oaks displays a lovely color, grain, and patina. Hand carved to the front with initials: R B. Two storage drawers to the lower front and the lid lifts on the chest which provides excellent large amounts of storage space. Condition: This magnificent chest is in excellent condition for its time. One minor small piece of paneled oak missing on the right-hand side (not on the front) towards the bottom, right side which does not affect the chest cosmetically or structurally in any way – see the last picture. There is some historical. That is no longer active, which adds to the patina and character of this beautiful piece. At Chateau we take pride in giving the customer what they want. A Rare and Beautiful 70 Year Old French Louis XVI Style Dressing Table Chest. Made in France during the 1950’s in the style of Louis XVI to a lovely standard. The moulded edge top with cut glass sheet atop with raised framed bevelled mirror over three long drawers with wonderfully ornate pull handles and escutcheons. All raised on carved cabriole legs with a shaped apron to the front and sides. Finished in a cream paint with lashings of gold throughout. This special edition trunk known as “The Marshall Improved Airtight & Watertight Chest” was often used by the military. Made in England during the early part of the 20th century in around 1920 to a lovely standard. This high quality travel trunk has been bound with metal and stamped with the name E H Harrison and is fitted with castors to the base. The interior has been carefully lined with zinc and expertly designed to meet the airtight and watertight standards of this trunk. The interior bearing the makers label and patent number. Hello and welcome to Merrily Mad Antiques. Beautiful Rare Handmade English Mahogany Candle Chest. A rare handmade candle chest (more frequently found are candle chests). This looks like it has been hand made maybe by the man of the house or a local carpenter. The chest is made from mahogany and has two draws and a lovely sturdy brass handle to the top, the sticker to the back has been added at a much later date than the chest was made. This may well have been used in a working mans home and could even have been used to store candles in a air raid shelter in the war years. The chest does have scratches and is a little rough around the edges but this actually shows that it has been well used for purpose and adds to the wonderful history of the piece. The chest would make a lovely addition to any room in the home. It could be used for lots of different tings like a desk tidy in a home office, bits and bobs drawers in any room, storing small kitchen utensils etc. Height 33.5cm / 13 inch. Width 20cm / 8 inch.
