This is a Rare Beautiful Georgian Faux Tortoiseshell Beautiful Flowers Design Gilt Round Snuff Box, this i believe was crafted c 1800 making it around 220 years old, this is a Beautiful Rare Georgian Snuff Box with a raised Domed Glass Lid, inside the Domed Glass Lid are a Beautiful Textured Flowers and Leaves with different Stunning Colours on a Purple Setting, to the Centre it looks like a Rose. Also inside the Glass Dome are Strands of Gold Colour Wire that Weave around the Flowers, the Rim of the Lid is Gilt and it pulls off and back on nice and tight fit, the inside Lid and inside base of this Snuff Box has a Beautiful Faux Tortoiseshell Finish, this would have been owned by someone wealthy in the Georgian period when times were very different to today, it is very tactile and is in good condition with just light surface wear, and has a nice tight Vacuum Seal to the Lid that would have kept the Snuff nice and Dry, this is highly Collectable and would add something special to any collection.
