Made in the Jacobean style with lovely top pediment over twin glazed cupboard doors enclosing shelves. The fall front cover with carved detailing enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon holes. One shorter drawer over two long drawers finished with ornate swing pull handles. All raised on cup and cover legs with crinoline stretchers. Made to lovely proportions, it will stand proud in any room. The oak has a rich colour and pleasing patina. A lovely piece of english history thats bursting with charm. This is a most Beautiful and rare Georgian 9ct Gold and Faux Tortoiseshell Snuff Box, this i believe was crafted c1800 making it around 221 years old, This Stunning Georgian Square 9ct Gold and Faux Tortoiseshell Snuff Box has the most Stunning Design on the Lid, the Centre has a 9ct Gold Rectangle Cartouche with an Inscription of the name E Volckers which is an unusual Name from German Origins. The Hinge and the Thumb Piece are also 9ct Gold, but the design on the Faux Tortoiseshell Lid sets it apart from most other Georgian Snuff Boxes. It has the most Beautiful 9ct Gold Lines all over the Lid and each Corner has a nice Curved Lines Design, it really is Stunning and Unique. Look close on the Beautiful wood front panel & you can see several ITTY BITTY Perfectly round little holes & I had been told that some kind of little BOAR BEETLE made the holes? The mechanism is a 8-day wind that has 6-brass hammers & 6-brass bars which all appear(s) to be in fair to good condition & it does run & keeps time. REMEMBER THIS IS A ANTIQUE KEY WIND CLOCK NOT A QUARTZ CLOCK. This clock has the Westminster Chime but the clock has now QUIT CHIMING. The 2-Arbor/Chambers that make the clock chime are wound & not over wound but the clock does Not chime. The APPROXIMATE size of this Beautiful Gem is 24″ High, 16″ Long, & 6-1/2 Wide/Deep. This is a Beautiful Victorian Sterling Silver Pierced Decoration Oval Fruit Bowl, this is Hallmarked for Sterling Silver and i believe is c1900 making it around 121 years old, this is a Beautiful Sterling Silver Bowl in an Oval Curved Raised Shape, the edge of the Bowl Has a Stunning Pierced Decoration running all around it, the Piercing appears to be a Cross with a Circle design. This Sterling Silver Fruit Bowl would look Beautiful on any Dining or Side Table, and it also has someone’s Initial inside the Basin of the Bowl. This would have been owned by someone Wealthy back in the Victorian Period, condition is good for its age but there is a ding on one side near to the edge and a couple of tinier dings in the Base, and is only mentioned for accuracy and in no way detracts from the Beauty of this Antique.
