Here we have an Original 1855 BOOK of BEAUTY. Leavitt & Allen (New York). 290 pages (and several unnumbered at end).. The color lithograph page is in excellent shape; as are all but one of the engravings of featured women. As seen in one photo, I found what looks to be a 4-leaf clover with one of the engravings. Please see pics for additional details. See pics for condition. Cover is generally clean but scuffed up and worn alone edges and at corners. Leather surface is split/cracked 100% on the back and roughly 66.66% on the front; but remains well attached. Inner pages exhibit the staining/discoloration you see in the pics; pretty much throughout the entirety of the book. The only tear I find is the one pictured engraving page. I found no writing ; but did not carefully inspect each and every page. Please inspect pics carefully. You expect to receive items that are somehow “better” than the ones pictured and described here.
