A Rare & Beautiful 100 Year Old Antique Edwardian Oak Prayer Stand. Made in England during the reign of King George V in around 1920 to a lovely standard. Around the turn of the century in around 1900 to a lovely standard. The wonderful simplistic gothic revival prayer stand with slanted oak stand and raise ledge raised on shaped supports with pierced carved gothic design united by a carved stretcher. Resting on a base with folding foot support. Made to wonderful proportions it will stand proud in any room. The oak has a wonderful colour and rich patina created over the last century. A wonderful piece of history that’s bursting with historic charm. As expected with age some wear and tear with age including minor marks from use. Height 78 cm – Width 45 cm – depth 62 cm.
