28,5/ 24 cm. Inscription PPS or PPJ (see pictures). Genuine Swedish root bowl from the 1800s. The wood bowl is in good condition with an authentic patina and organic shape. This bowl is a very large example and fit for both functional and aesthetic purposes. The size ensures it stands out on any table and the patina is unmistakably antique making the bowl a true centrepiece. Dated underneath “1867” Bowls like these were originally practical household items used for the storage and preparation of food. They are rare to find today, especially in good condition and that combined with the size makes this bowl doubly special.
