Beautiful Victorian Rare Silver Pate De Verre, Amethyst Cameo Pendant & Chain. Here is a really beautiful victorian rare silver pate de verre amethyst glass cameo pendant & silver chain. The chain measures twenty four inches all the way round & is all made of solid silver. This chain is a very strong curb link chain with links of approx a quarter inch each & a very good weight of approx 40g, so very substantial, but i can see why this chain has been used as it showcases the pendant & carries it well. The chain comes with a bolt ring clasp working well & has a full set of english hallmarks for silver & the 1970s & the lion hallmark on some of the links. The pendant measures nearly one & threequarter inches by just over two inches excluding the bail & is all set in antique silver & clearly marked for the early written silver mark. This pendant is quite fabulous & i have never seen an example like this before, it has a lovely cameo made of pate de verre amethyst glass. The cameo is delightfully made of the head & shoulders of an attractive lady in really beautiful detail & dates clearly to the victorian era & looks to probably be french in origin or certainly continental & just needs a good polish. This really is a beautiful victorian rare cameo pendant in very good origional complete condition that looks quite a statement piece & really lovely worn & a beautiful example for the cameo collectors. The pendant is large measuring one & a half inches by two inches excluding the bail and is all set in a quality 9ct yellow gold with a lovely patina to the gold, with a rusched balled edge border. This pendant is really lovely & quite unusual with the size of it, set in gold, hardstone & the lovely real diamonds with the solid gold cameo & i have never seen one like this before of this attractive quality. The cameo is a hardstone cameo inset in lovely real agate with its natural colour, banding & markings which beautifully offsets the gold. Inset is a stunning large solid 9ct gold cameo which depicts the head and shoulders of a classical lady in the most exquisite detail and looks to be flora or similiar.. This cameo is beautifully carved and of fine quality, with lovely carved detail & nicely the flowers in the hair are inset with real white brilliant cut diamonds, faceted & collet set & there are 7 diamonds in total & they twinkle & sparkle on movement, it really gives a fabulous finish. The pendant comes complete with a large quality bail for attatching a chain & it has a full set of english hallmarks for London, 9ct gold & 1974 & makers mark & weighs 34.5g. However This really is a beautiful quality 9ct gold, agate & diamond cameo pendant in very good origional complete condition and a beautiful unusual fine quality & certainly one for the collector & a example that will delight a real showstopping statement piece. STUNNING Rare FINE QUALITY VICTORIAN BOXED 14CT GOLD (Powdered Wig Gentleman) CAMEO RING. This is a beautiful Rare Fine Quality Victorian Boxed hand carved 14ct Gold Cameo Ring, (Georgian Powdered Wig Gentleman) i would estimate it dates to circa 1850 making it over 170 years old, is in lovely original condition, the carving to the cameo is beautiful and the colour stunning with the image of a very handsome Georgian Gentleman wearing his powdered wig, he is wonderfully detailed with a ribbon to the back of his wig and wearing his neck stock, this image is very unusual and special, this is framed in 14 ct gold and is an oval shape and of a good size, the shoulders of the ring itself are lovely and split in tthree and fan out to the body of the cameo, the band of the ring is crafted also in solid 14ct gold, this has been tested, it isnt hallmarked though this isnt unusual for this period, the size of the ring is an L. 5 and the cameo itself meausures 2 cm by 1.5 cm which is of a good size, the design and decoration is wonderful, its beautiful, the design is very special, this sits within its very pretty dark blue leather box with gold tooling, the interior has a cream velvet which the rings sits snugly in and the inside top has a cream padded silk interior with yet more wonderful gold tooling, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb as you would expect, this would have once been worn daily in the Victorian period, this was many years ago when times were so very different. This is so very tactile and once held has a wonderful feel, my photos dont do it justice. This will add something special to any collection.
