Antique Art Nouveau Leaf FIX French Roll Gold Titre Old Rare Victorian Brooch

Antique Art Nouveau FIX French Rolled Gold Horsechesnut Leaf & Conkers Old Rare Victorian Pin Brooch. A pretty Art Nouveau brooch that was made in France using the “Fix” process. This is rolled gold, in which a “sandwich” consisting of a plate of copper between two thin plates of gold is compressed between rollers to the required thickness and then stamped into the form of the jewel. Companies such as Murat, Fix and Oria, founded in 1847, 1823 and 1867 respectively, specialised in high quality rolled gold jewellery. For the first time in history the public could wear a jewel that looked like pure gold, and the demand was strong during the mid-nineteenth century onwards in France. This brooch dates from around 1900 and is typical of The Art Nouveau movement featuring pretty Horse chesnut leaves conkers and is set with a deep Green coloured Emerald paste glass stones. Beautiful & Rare WMF Art Nouveau Silver Plated, Engraved Crystal Glass, Small Claret Jug / Ewer. Here we have a beautiful and very rare WMF Small Jug- Ewer, with WMF exquisitely engraved Crystal glass, a beautiful piece of exceptional quality and very stylish. The Jug collar is also bright cut engraved, with a very elaborate handle and strong hinged lid. The perfect size for two glasses of wine, a highly sought after & collectable piece and totally useable. The engraved crystal glass has no damage whatsoever, I have looked around very carefully and its free from any damage, chips, nibbles, nicks, cracks and No scratches, just a few on the contact surface of the base, its also free from any clouding of the crystal glass. Considering this Jug / Ewer is approximately 130 years of age, its in Very good antique condition. There is some silver loss with a glint of brass showing through the silver in some places, No dents, dints or scratches and no breakages whatsoever. The Jugs lid and hinge is strong with very little play , opens and closes perfectly/. The Jug stands straight and true. Height with Finial : 18.0 cm. Width widest Point including handle : 12 cm. Diameter Base : 8 cm. Weight in Total : 377 Grams.
