This is a Beautiful Victorian Solid Silver 10 Sided Cut Glass Ruby Scent Bottle, this was crafted by the Silversmith Charles May and was made in Birmingham 1893 making it 127 years old, this is a really Beautiful Victorian Cut Glass Ruby Scent Bottle with Solid Silver Hinged Lid, the Cut Glass Scent Bottle has a Ten Sided or Decagon Design to it giving it a lovely Shape, and the Base of the Bottle has a Lovely Starburst Finish to it, the Glass has a Stunning Ruby Colour. The neck of the Scent Bottle is Solid Silver and is fully Hallmarked for the Silversmith Charles May Birmingham 1893, it has a Solid Silver Domed Shape Hinged Lid with the inside of the Lid still retaining its Gilt Finish, the Hinge is in Excellent condition and opens and closes securely, the top of the Lid has an Inscription, the Scent Bottle also retains its Glass Stopper that fits Snugly, and comes off nicely to dab the Scent onto the Lady, this would have been owned by a Wealthy Lady in the Victorian Period, when times were very different to today, it is so Tactile and hard to put down when held, in lovely condition with just a couple of small dings on the Lid and light wear to the Glass, and is only mentioned for accuracy, this would add something special to any Victorian Solid Silver and Cut Glass Scent Bottle Collections.
